Designer Handbag Bingo
 is just one month away!

Have you purchased your tickets?

The Class of 2026 is hosting this season's Designer Handbag Bingo on Friday, April 26th at CHS! We have beautiful designer bags by Kate Spade, MIchael Kors, Coach, Tory Burch, and Valentino, to name a few! We also have many fabulous prizes up for grabs in our Silent Auction and Tricky Tray.

Support the Class of 2026 by purchasing tickets for you and your adult friends and family members to attend Designer Handbag Bingo at CHS on April 26.

If you would like to take a more active role in supporting Designer Handbag Bingo, there are opportunities to donate items for the tricky tray or silent auction, secure donations from local businesses, and help with decor, set up or clean up. Email Nancy King to let her know how you can help to make this a successful fundraiser for our class and have some fun with other 2026 parents along the way!

Class of 2027 - Freshman

Class of 2027 Family Donation

You should have received an email yesterday with important information about our Class of 2027 Family Donation. Please click HERE for a link to the letter, which is on our Class of 2027 PTO Webpage. Traditionally, each class asks families who are able to contribute a one-time donation to support the cost of our class specific events.

Payment can be made using this LINK. Suggested donation is $125, but any amount is appreciated. Donations may also be made by check to HVCHS PTO (Class of 2027 in memo)

Please know donations are not mandatory to attend events and names of families who donate are kept anonymous. The HVCHS PTO is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and matching employer donations are welcomed.

Freshman Semi-Formal Dance was a Success!

We hope that your children enjoyed the Spring Semi-Formal Dance on Friday. We had a great turnout, and we thank everyone who helped with decorating or who donated items to make the night a success. We want to also thank the student and teacher advisors who worked hard to put the dance on, it was truly a group effort.

We had a few volunteers taking pictures on Friday and we have asked them to upload the photos to a google drive so that parents could view them. Please click here for the photos. If you took any photos before the dance and would like to upload them, you can do that as well. This will be a nice memory to look back on during senior year.

Help Wanted!

The CHS PTO is recruiting for two leadership positions to be held during the 2024-2025 school year: Recording Secretary and Fundraising Officer.

The Recording Secretary commits to being present at monthly meetings and takes minutes which are stored on the PTO Google drive. The Fundraising Officer manages existing streams of revenue by publicizing the Annual Appeal and commemorative brick fundraiser. Additional creative ideas to support the CHS PTO General Fund are welcome.

New executive board members have the benefit of experienced colleagues to support them throughout the year. It is important that the PTO executive board includes members with younger high school students so knowledge is organically passed along as parent volunteers “graduate.”

The slate of nominees for the executive board positions will be presented at the CHS PTO meeting on April 17th, so please give some consideration to joining us and express your interest by email to Becky Golian by March 31st.

If you haven't joined us before, we invite you to attend our remaining PTO meetings this year to learn more (April 17th and May 15th at 9am in the principal’s conference room.)  It is important that the new volunteers be finalized this spring so PTO operations can resume promptly in September.

Thanks for your consideration!

The freshman class parent representatives are Jennifer DiDonato, Aileen Matticoli & Christine Ruhl. Staff advisors are Samantha Chen & Ryan Tobin.

Green Tip: Cleaning with Vinegar, Baking Soda, and Lemon

One way to reduce the number of cleaning products you bring into your home is to clean with products you already have. People have been cleaning with household staples like vinegar, baking soda, and lemons (or lemon juice) for a long time. These items are safe and effective, allowing you to clean without worries about harsh chemicals. Read more about how you can use these products HERE.
